Tools for Fake News is a critical design exploration that examines how misinformation has become evermore present in our everyday lives due to our increasing consumption of unmoderated, user-generated content and biased media. By presenting amplification, engagement, and reaction as familiar utility objects, the project reframes misinformation as something easily accessible, easily performed, casually consumed, and structurally encouraged. My project does not offer a technical solution, but acts as an awareness tool that can be demonstrated in education settings to make an abstract issue tangible and understandable.
